Backup types

• Database backup captures WordPress database content.
• Files backup captures media, themes, plugins, and site files.
• Full backup captures both database and files.

Backup modes

• Downloadable archives are useful for local inspection and manual transfer.
• Encrypted incremental backups to R2 are useful for retained backup history.

Manual backups

Manual backups can temporarily consume instance resources. If a site changes during backup or cache rebuild, wait for the job to finish and verify the public site again.

Backup history

• Review status, duration, type, and file format.
• Download or restore only when the backup status is successful.
• Keep backup retention aligned with workspace policy and storage cost.
