  • maintaining appropriate workspace access
  • removing access for users who should no longer have it
  • notifying CanaryWP if you believe your account has been compromised

You are responsible for authorized activity performed through your account.

4. Workspaces

CanaryWP may organize resources and access through workspaces.

Workspace owners and administrators may be able to:

  • invite users
  • remove users
  • change roles and permissions
  • manage WordPress sites
  • manage usage
  • manage plans and credits
  • configure workspace settings
  • review operational history

You are responsible for ensuring that workspace members have appropriate access.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of WordPress content, files, databases, media, and other materials you provide to CanaryWP.

You grant CanaryWP a limited right to process that information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the service
  • perform requested operations
  • maintain security
  • troubleshoot failures
  • provide support
  • comply with applicable law

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide this information to CanaryWP.

6. WordPress Backups and Sensitive Data

WordPress websites and backups may contain sensitive or confidential information, including:

  • customer information
  • email addresses
  • user accounts
  • form submissions
  • WooCommerce orders
  • payment-related configuration
  • API credentials
  • authentication information
  • application logs

You are responsible for reviewing the information that you upload.

CanaryWP may perform supported sanitization on testing copies.

Sanitization reduces risk but does not guarantee removal of every sensitive value.

You should not rely solely on CanaryWP sanitization for regulatory compliance or security.

7. Testing Environments

CanaryWP environments created for testing, simulation, staging, or maintenance are not guaranteed to be identical to the original production website.

Testing environments may:

  • use different infrastructure
  • use different runtime patch versions
  • contain sanitized data
  • rewrite domains
  • be paused or stopped
  • be restarted
  • be rebuilt
  • be modified
  • be deleted

Unless expressly identified otherwise, testing environments should not be treated as the only production copy of a website.

8. Site Imports

When importing a WordPress website, you authorize CanaryWP to:

  • receive the uploaded archive
  • extract its contents
  • inspect relevant environment information
  • create the required testing environment
  • import the WordPress database
  • import WordPress files
  • adjust configuration where necessary
  • rewrite URLs where necessary
  • perform supported sanitization

Imports may fail because of corrupt archives, unsupported software, plugin or theme incompatibility, unusual hosting configurations, unsupported runtime versions, insufficient resources, malformed databases, or other technical conditions.

CanaryWP does not guarantee that every WordPress website can be imported successfully.

9. Connected WordPress Sites

You may connect supported WordPress websites to CanaryWP.

You represent that you are authorized to administer any website you connect.

You are responsible for protecting connection credentials, pairing information, API credentials, callback credentials, and authorization tokens.

CanaryWP may reject connection requests or callback destinations that present a security risk.

10. Site Testing

CanaryWP may perform automated testing intended to identify certain functional issues, visual changes, WordPress health issues, update problems, or compatibility concerns.

A successful test does not guarantee that a website contains no defects.

Testing may not cover every:

  • page
  • visitor path
  • browser
  • screen size
  • plugin feature
  • theme feature
  • third-party service
  • checkout flow
  • production-specific configuration

You remain responsible for determining whether a change is appropriate for your production website.

11. Maintenance and Updates

CanaryWP may allow you to modify:

  • WordPress core
  • PHP
  • plugins
  • themes
  • databases
  • configuration
  • domains
  • redirects

Updates can introduce incompatibilities, display changes, broken functionality, database changes, plugin conflicts, or theme conflicts.

CanaryWP may provide warnings, compatibility information, confidence information, previous testing evidence, or suggested update plans.

These features provide decision-support information and do not guarantee that an update will succeed.

You are responsible for reviewing an operation before applying it.

12. Scheduled Operations

CanaryWP may allow you to schedule WordPress maintenance, plugin or theme updates, PHP changes, Site Testing, reports, and notifications.

By enabling a scheduled workflow, you authorize CanaryWP to execute the configured actions.

You are responsible for selecting the appropriate websites, schedules, operations, and backup strategy.

Scheduled operations may fail, be delayed, or be interrupted.

13. Canary Wizard

Canary Wizard may coordinate multiple CanaryWP operations as part of a guided workflow.

You are responsible for reviewing selected websites, requested operations, testing results, update plans, and confirmation steps.

Canary Wizard does not guarantee that an update or workflow will be risk-free.

14. CanaryWing

CanaryWing provides AI-assisted explanations, diagnostics, and operational assistance.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or based on incomplete context.

CanaryWing output should not be treated as a guarantee of compatibility or correctness.

Where confirmation is required before an action is performed, you are responsible for reviewing the action before confirming it.

You should not submit passwords, private keys, payment credentials, or unrelated sensitive information through CanaryWing.

CanaryWing is not intended to provide legal, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice.

15. Backups

CanaryWP may provide database, file, full-site, or incremental backup functionality.

You remain responsible for maintaining an appropriate backup strategy.

CanaryWP should not be treated as the only copy of business-critical information.

Backup operations may fail because of infrastructure failures, corrupted files, insufficient storage, database errors, network failures, or third-party provider failures.

16. Restore Operations

Restore operations may modify or overwrite:

  • WordPress files
  • database content
  • configuration
  • runtime information

You are responsible for confirming that the selected restore point and restore scope are correct.

CanaryWP does not guarantee that every backup can be successfully restored in every environment.

17. Plans

CanaryWP may offer plans with different website limits, user limits, credit allowances, feature access, queue capacity, or support levels.

CanaryWP may also offer trial, beta, custom, or promotional plans.

Plan features and limits may change over time.

18. Credits and Usage

Certain CanaryWP operations may consume credits or other usage allowances.

Metered activity may include:

  • WordPress instance runtime
  • storage
  • Site Testing
  • CanaryWing
  • Canary Wizard
  • connected-site workflows
  • other resource-intensive operations

CanaryWP may prevent an operation from starting if your workspace lacks sufficient credits, your plan does not include the feature, or a plan limit has been reached.

CanaryWP’s recorded usage is the authoritative product record unless an error is identified.

19. Pricing and Payment

If CanaryWP offers paid plans, credit purchases, or other paid services, applicable pricing will be displayed through the service, an order form, quotation, invoice, or supported checkout process.

Displayed prices may exclude applicable taxes.

A displayed price or estimated charge does not itself establish that a payment has been successfully processed.

If automated third-party payment processing is introduced, additional payment-provider terms may apply.

20. Infrastructure Cost Estimates

CanaryWP may display estimated infrastructure usage or cost information.

These figures are estimates only and may differ from actual provider charges because of:

  • usage duration
  • provider pricing
  • storage
  • data transfer
  • regional differences
  • discounts
  • taxes
  • provider pricing changes

21. Taxes

You are responsible for taxes, duties, levies, or similar charges associated with your purchase where applicable.

CanaryWP may collect taxes where required by law.

22. Beta and Preview Features

Some CanaryWP functionality may be identified as beta, experimental, preview, or early access.

Such features may:

  • contain bugs
  • change without notice
  • have reduced reliability
  • be discontinued

Do not rely on beta functionality for business-critical operations unless expressly stated otherwise.

23. Acceptable Use

You must not use CanaryWP to:

  • violate applicable law
  • access systems without authorization
  • distribute malware
  • attack or disrupt systems
  • perform unauthorized vulnerability scanning
  • circumvent permissions
  • evade plan limits or usage controls
  • bypass authentication
  • access another customer’s information
  • interfere with security mechanisms
  • misuse APIs or callback functionality
  • use testing infrastructure for unrelated hosting
  • infringe intellectual-property rights

24. Security

You must not attempt to:

  • obtain CanaryWP server credentials
  • obtain another user’s credentials
  • bypass workspace isolation
  • bypass authorization controls
  • exploit site connection workflows
  • bypass confirmation controls
  • interfere with CanaryWP security protections

Security issues should be reported responsibly.

25. Third-Party Services

CanaryWP relies on third-party providers for services such as infrastructure, authentication, data storage, file storage, artificial intelligence, and communications.

Changes or outages affecting those providers may affect CanaryWP.

Your use of third-party WordPress plugins, themes, extensions, APIs, and services may also be subject to separate terms.

26. WordPress and Third-Party Software

WordPress websites may contain third-party software.

CanaryWP does not control the quality, security, availability, compatibility, or licensing of third-party plugins, themes, APIs, integrations, payment systems, or extensions.

You are responsible for determining whether third-party software is appropriate for your website.

27. Intellectual Property

CanaryWP and its licensors retain ownership of the CanaryWP service, including its software, interfaces, designs, documentation, trademarks, workflows, and proprietary platform technology.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of CanaryWP intellectual property to you.

28. Feedback

If you submit suggestions, feature requests, bug reports, or other product feedback, you allow CanaryWP to use that feedback to improve the service without restriction or compensation.

This does not transfer ownership of your WordPress content.

29. Service Availability

CanaryWP may experience maintenance, downtime, infrastructure failures, network failures, third-party provider outages, WordPress incompatibilities, or software errors.

CanaryWP does not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted availability.

30. Service Changes

CanaryWP may change features, interfaces, limits, workflows, plans, pricing, infrastructure, and service providers as the service evolves.

Material changes affecting paid services may be communicated where reasonably appropriate.

31. Suspension

CanaryWP may suspend access where reasonably necessary to:

  • protect the service
  • address a security incident
  • prevent abuse
  • comply with law
  • investigate misuse
  • address material nonpayment

Where practical, notice may be provided.

32. Account Termination

You may stop using CanaryWP at any time.

When an account or workspace is terminated, related resources may eventually be removed, including:

  • testing environments
  • stored artifacts
  • backups
  • testing history
  • CanaryWing history
  • operational history

You are responsible for exporting information you need before termination where export options are available.

33. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanaryWP is provided “as is” and “as available.”

CanaryWP does not guarantee that:

  • every import will succeed
  • every WordPress update will be compatible
  • every test will identify every problem
  • every backup will be restorable
  • every AI response will be accurate
  • every testing environment will exactly match production
  • the service will always be available

CanaryWP disclaims implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

34. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanaryWP will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

This may include loss of profits, revenue, business, data, or goodwill.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, CanaryWP’s total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount paid by you to CanaryWP during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

35. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify CanaryWP against third-party claims arising from:

  • content you upload
  • unauthorized processing of information
  • your violation of applicable law
  • your violation of these Terms
  • your infringement of third-party rights
  • misuse of the service

36. Privacy

CanaryWP’s processing of personal information is described in the CanaryWP Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have any legally required authority, notices, and permissions for personal information you process through CanaryWP.

37. Changes to These Terms

CanaryWP may update these Terms as the service evolves.

Material changes may be communicated through the service or another reasonable method.

The latest revision date appears at the beginning of these Terms.

38. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of:

[GOVERNING LAW / COUNTRY / STATE]

Any dispute will be handled in:

[COURT / VENUE / ARBITRATION TERMS]

unless applicable law requires otherwise.

39. General Terms

If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with applicable order forms and incorporated policies, form the agreement governing your use of CanaryWP unless another written agreement expressly replaces them.
